Sr. Accountant

Job Title: Senior AccountantJob Summary:

The Senior Accountant will manage end-to-end accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires strong expertise in import & export accounting, e-commerce accounting, and daily financial management. The candidate must be capable of working independently, maintaining accuracy, and coordinating with multiple departments such as logistics, purchase, warehouse, and online marketplaces.

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Maintain general ledger, journals, and books of accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist in the finalization of accounts and audits (statutory/internal).

2. Import & Export Accounting

• Record import transactions including Bill of Entry, IGST, customs duty, freight, insurance, CHA charges, and other landed cost components.
• Reconcile BOE values with vendor invoices and ensure correct ITC claims.
• Calculate landed cost of imported goods.
• Maintain export accounting records such as shipping bills, export invoices, LUT/Bond usage, FIRC, BRC, etc.
• Record foreign currency transactions and exchange gain/loss entries.
• Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and logistics teams for documentation accuracy.
• Maintain export incentive records such as RoDTEP, RoSCTL, Duty Drawback, etc.

3. E-Commerce Accounting (Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Website, etc.)

• Reconcile marketplace statements: payments, settlements, TCS, TDS, returns, and commissions.
• Match sales reports with ERP/Tally and bank credits.
• Handle returns, damaged inventory, and claim reconciliations for marketplaces.
• Upload invoices on portals if required and maintain GST-compliant records.
• Monitor marketplace fees (commission, shipping fee, storage fee) and prepare variance analysis.
• Coordinate with e-commerce teams for pricing, orders, cancellations, and stock updates.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process vendor bills, payments, debit/credit notes, and maintain ageing.
• Follow up with customers for outstanding payments.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts monthly.

5. GST, TDS & Compliance

• Handle GST for domestic transactions and imports (IGST on BOE).
• File GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconcile GSTR-2A/2B.
• Manage TDS/TCS returns and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in audit documentation and statutory assessments.

6. Banking & Reconciliations

• Manage bank entries, NEFT/RTGS/TT/SWIFT payments, and foreign remittances.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Monitor cash flow, fund requirements, and credit limits.

7. Inventory Management & Costing

• Coordinate stock audits and reconcile physical vs. system stock.
• Calculate SKU-wise costing (imported goods & e-commerce-related costs).
• Monitor purchase entries, GRNs, and stock movement.

8. MIS Reporting & Internal Controls

• Prepare MIS reports such as P&L, Cash Flow, Sales Report, Ageing, Marketplace Comparison Reports.
• Implement internal controls to ensure accounting accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Com/M.Com/MBA/CA-Inter preferred.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong experience in import/export accounting and e-commerce marketplace accounting.
• Proficiency in Tally/ERP, Excel, and marketplace reconciliation tools.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS, BOE, freight/CHA charges, and settlement statements.
• Good communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
