Specialist Packaging

PURPOSE AND IMPACT OF YOUR ROLE/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyse and understand the product requirements and specifications
• Develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable packaging solutions for home textile products at myTrident
• Collaborate with Design and Sales & Marketing teams to ensure packaging aligns with brand identity and product positioning.
• Identify and source appropriate packaging materials and vendors, both domestic and international.
• Work closely with vendors to ensure quality, timely delivery, and compliance with specifications.
• Ensure the packaging meets safety and health regulations
• Conduct packaging tests to ensure durability, aesthetics, and functionality during handling and shipping.
• Monitor and manage packaging inventory, costs, and supply timelines.
• Stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and sustainable packaging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and retailer-specific packaging requirements.
• Support artwork development and approval processes for packaging.

SKILLS

• Strong understanding of packaging materials, printing techniques, and structural design.
• Good sourcing and negotiation skills.
• Excellent project management and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 - 5 years of experience in packaging development and sourcing.
• Any bachelors degree (preferably in Industrial Design or related field) 
• Experience working with domestic suppliers.
• Prior exposure to sustainable packaging initiatives is a plus.
