Spare Parts Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels based on service center needs and historical trends. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with records. Monitor parts usage and generate reports for forecasting and planning. Procurement: Source parts from authorized suppliers, negotiating prices and terms. Ensure parts meet manufacturer and quality specifications. Maintain relationships with vendors and monitor supplier performance. Team Supervision: Lead, train, and supervise the parts department staff. Allocate daily tasks and ensure team adherence to company standards. Coordination with Other Departments: Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate parts availability. Support quick turnaround of service orders by ensuring timely parts delivery. Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of stock transactions, purchase orders, and supplier invoices. Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations. Customer Service: Handle inquiries related to parts pricing, availability, and warranty. Support front-office operations with quick access to needed parts for walk-in customers. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in automotive parts management. Strong knowledge of vehicle parts, supplier networks, and inventory systems. Familiarity with automotive DMS (Dealer Management Systems) and ERP tools. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
