Senior Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues including engine, transmission, electrical, and brake systems. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake checks, and tire rotations. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify vehicle faults. Supervise and assist junior technicians and apprentices in performing repairs. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards. Provide accurate estimates and communicate findings to the service advisor. Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area. Conduct quality checks on completed work before returning vehicles to customers. Stay updated with new technologies and attend training sessions as required. Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or diploma in automotive repair preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automotive service, including diagnostics and repair. ASE certification or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and vehicle repair software. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Good communication and leadership skills. Valid driver’s license.
