Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Al Khobar for a SolarWinds Implementation Engineer. The responsibilities of this role include implementing and customizing SolarWinds solutions to meet client requirements, managing end-to-end project implementation, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and collaborating with teams to ensure seamless delivery. The role also involves working closely with clients to understand their IT infrastructure and address their SolarWinds-related needs.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation & Configuration

• Install, configure, and implement SolarWinds Orion platform modules such as:
• Network Performance Monitor (NPM)
• Server & Application Monitor (SAM)
• Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
• NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA)
• Log Analyzer (LA)
• IP Address Manager (IPAM)
• Set up SolarWinds agents, polling engines, and integration with external systems.

Monitoring Setup

• Create and configure performance thresholds, alerts, escalation rules, and customized notifications.
• Build monitoring dashboards, maps, reports, and network topology views.
• Optimize polling cycles, database performance, and monitor scalability.

Integration & Automation

• Integrate SolarWinds with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira, Remedy, ManageEngine, etc.)
• Work with API for automation and custom integrations.
• Implement SNMP, WMI, ICMP, and Syslog-based monitoring.

Troubleshooting & Support

• Resolve SolarWinds application issues, polling failures, database problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Provide L2/L3 support for monitoring-related incidents.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot network and server performance using SolarWinds insights.

Documentation & Training

• Create SOPs, implementation documents, and user guides.
• Train internal teams/clients on SolarWinds dashboards, alerts, and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3–7 years of experience in implementing and managing SolarWinds Orion.
• Strong understanding of:
• Networking (TCP/IP, SNMP, VLANs, Firewalls)
• Windows/Linux servers
• Databases (MS SQL preferred)
• Experience configuring dashboards, custom alerts, and application monitoring templates.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to independently execute end-to-end SolarWinds projects.

Preferred / Good to Have

• SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP)
• Experience with cloud monitoring (AWS, Azure)
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python)
• Exposure to ITIL processes
