The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of solar power projects—from planning and design to procurement, installation, commissioning, and final handover. The role involves cross-functional coordination, project scheduling, budgeting, vendor and contractor management, and ensuring strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
· Manage and oversee complete solar project execution including site surveys, design validation, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
· Develop detailed project plans with timelines, resource allocation, milestones, and budgets.
· Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, logistics, and execution teams to ensure timely material delivery and project progress.
· Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors to meet project deadlines and technical requirements.
· Monitor project progress regularly and proactively resolve issues or delays.
· Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards (HSE, IEC, ISO).
· Conduct routine site visits to supervise work and ensure adherence to approved drawings and engineering specifications.
· Lead project review meetings and prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
· Manage project documentation, approvals, DISCOM processing, net-metering documentation, and final handover files.
· Optimize resource usage and monitor costs to ensure the project remains within budget.
· Handle all client communication throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and complete customer satisfaction.
· B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline.
· PMP certification is an added advantage.
· 6 to 9 years of experience in solar project management (Ground-mounted / Utility-scale preferred).
· Knowledge of government solar schemes, DISCOM regulations, and net-metering policies.
· Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, modules, structures, electrical layouts, and industry standards.
· Familiarity with quality standards (ISO, IEC) and safety norms (HSE compliance).
· Strong project planning, budgeting, and reporting abilities.
· Proven experience in vendor and contractor management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, etc.
· Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
