Scope

As Fossil’s

QA Tester

, you will be responsible for ensuring quality throughout the project lifecycle by preparing, creating, and executing test cases across multiple systems. You will collaborate with local and global teams, support defect resolution, and provide feedback for continuous process improvement. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a service-oriented approach to delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform testing activities to validate software modifications that satisfy business requirements.
Review requirements and design specifications to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Create and execute test scenarios and test cases, ensuring requirements traceability.
Conduct formal test case reviews and incorporate feedback from peers and leads.
Identify and communicate test data requirements, ensuring availability before execution.
Execute test plans, evaluate deviations, and document defects with reproducible steps.
Track and report on test progress, defects, and quality metrics.
Participate in daily standups, escalating issues when needed, and collaborating with teams to resolve defects.
Partner with Test Leads and global teams to recommend process improvements.
Support automation initiatives where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2 years’ experience in Software Testing.
Strong knowledge of Software Test Life Cycle (STLC), Agile, and Iterative methodologies.
Familiarity with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as within a global team.
Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium or QTP.

Nice to Have

Background in coding/scripting for automated regression testing.
Experience testing mobile apps, web apps, and e-commerce platforms.
Exposure to tools such as Appium, JMeter, Saucelabs, Postman, Charles Proxy, Logcat, TestFairy.
Experience in SAP AFS and Order Management Systems (OMS) testing.
Knowledge of scripting to support automation or advanced manual testing.
