The ILMT Specialist manages IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) to track software usage, ensure compliance, and optimize licensing costs. Responsibilities include configuring ILMT, generating compliance reports, and supporting audits. The role requires expertise in IBM licensing, data analysis, and software asset management.

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced ILMT Specialist/SW expert to manage and optimize the IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) to track software usage, ensure license compliance, and support software audits. This role involves configuring and maintaining ILMT, generating compliance reports, analyzing license usage, and collaborating with IT and procurement teams to optimize license costs. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of IBM software licensing, software asset management (SAM), and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) to track software installations and usage.
• Generate and analyze ILMT compliance reports for IBM software products.
• Support internal and external software audits by providing accurate data and insights.
• Collaborate with IT, procurement, and compliance teams to ensure correct license allocation.
• Provide regular updates on license compliance status and usage trends.
• Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities through license optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience working with ILMT or similar software asset management tools.
• Strong understanding of IBM software products and licensing models.
• Experience in software license compliance and audit processes.
• Strong analytical skills for data reporting and trend analysis.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure and its relationship with license tracking.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting and collaborating across teams.
• Organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IBM Certified Specialist in IBM License Metric Tool.
• Experience with other SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, ServiceNow).
• ITIL Foundation or other asset management certifications.
