The Lead Mobile Engineer will be responsible for the

Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the ongoing evolution of mobile applications built with native technologies such as Kotlin and Swift, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Drive the transition towards a modern tech stack such as Flutter, aligning mobile engineering efforts with long‑term architectural and product objectives.
- Establish and refine mobile build pipelines, deployment practices, and app release processes across platforms.
- Identify and resolve performance and reliability issues through profiling, root cause analyses, and timely interventions.
- Enhance mobile app security, analytics, and crash monitoring platforms (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Sentry, New Relic) for robust and insightful mobile services.
- Integrate mobile applications seamlessly with backend services, APIs, and CMS platforms, ensuring high‑quality user experiences.
- Develop and evolve mobile engineering documentation, runbooks, and operational guides for engineering and support teams.
- Guide and mentor mobile engineers by leading code reviews, refactoring efforts, and implementing best practices for mobile app design, architecture, and testing.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, QA, and product teams to align mobile app deliveries with overall business objectives.
- Proactively identify opportunities for refactoring, updating frameworks, and adopting best practices to evolve mobile platforms.
- Take accountability for mobile engineering outcomes by addressing bottlenecks, facilitating incremental improvements, and championing mobile best practices across the team.
Key Requirements
- 10+ years of mobile engineering experience across native technologies such as Kotlin and Swift, as well as modern tech stacks such as Flutter.
- At least 2–3 years of experience leading mobile engineering teams, including mentoring, code review, and guiding best practices.
- Ability to adapt, troubleshoot, and optimize mobile platforms while aligning engineering efforts with product and business objectives.
- In‑depth experience with mobile app architecture design, refactor efforts, and performance optimization across both native and cross‑platform environments.
- Hands‑on expertise in mobile app integrations, REST APIs, and JSON data parsing.
- Proficient in mobile build pipelines, deployment practices, and tooling (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise) across platforms.
- Skilled in utilizing mobile analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel) and crash monitoring tools (e.g., Sentry, New Relic).
- Sound understanding of mobile app security, scalability, and best practices across both legacy and modern platforms.
- Hands‑on experience in migrating mobile applications from legacy technologies to modern stacks, ensuring seamless continuity and long‑term maintainability.
- Skilled in working with global, distributed teams across time zones and facilitating effective collaboration.
