Job Description:
This position will primarily support the TM1 administrative function in Finance and GSM Technology. The role involves managing and supporting TM1 environments and related application platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance. The candidate will work closely with development teams, other Technology teams and product vendors, supporting ~1800 global users, and will be responsible for platform maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage TM1 environments across Development, QA, and Production, ensuring efficient and cost-effective availability.
  • Proactively monitor TM1 platforms and related infrastructure for performance, availability, and capacity.
  • Support and manage TM1 infrastructure projects, including application installation, upgrades, patching, and certificate renewals.
  • Provide technical support to TM1 developers and end-users for platform-related queries and issues.
  • Administer TM1 application-related activities and processes, including user access management.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for application and infrastructure issues.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch) for logon, backup/restore, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support disaster recovery exercise and backup/restore procedures for TM1 environments.
  • Ensure compliance with AET policies and SDLC methodologies for application infrastructure.
  • Track upgrades and new capabilities, ensuring timely communication and adoption within the team.
  • Maintain and enhance user access processes and ensure optimal use of available infrastructure.
  • Perform research and analysis for problem-solving and support senior management in decision-making.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Must be open to work in shifts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in application platform maintenance/administration, preferably with TM1/IBM Planning Analytics.
  • Experience in both Windows and Linux administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with application installation, upgrades, and certificate management.
  • Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch) for automation and logon scripts.
  • Knowledge of client-server and multi-tier application architecture; understanding of TM1 application architecture preferred.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodologies; open to learning new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills:
  • TM1/IBM Planning Analytics administration experience.
  • Experience or knowledge with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (GCP/AWS).
