Process Overview

Global Markets Technology & Operations provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.

Job Description

Juno retail space is a dynamic, cross-functional organization with business analysts, developers and systems engineers, testing professionals and business/technical support professionals.

We are seeking a candidate who would be playing a role of senior developer to create tools, applications and deliver some of the bank-wide initiatives, regulatory reporting and platform stability initiatives in Juno retail space. These are large, distributed enterprise applications and experience with comparable systems is a must.

This role is for a senior developer position in the Juno team. The team operates in both complete ownership model and in a shared global team model for the critical functions. Team is heavily engaged in BAU, initiative as well as migration projects. The role provides opportunities for driving the technology strategy and end-to-end execution from India. The role would require a close engagement with all stakeholders involved to accomplish the tasks.

Looking for candidates with 4-8 years of post-academic experience in complex application development (client and/or server) using Java and J2EE technologies. Expecting extensive experience of enterprise application development and delivery of technology projects. An Ideal candidate should have a good understanding of financial products specifically on the FICC derivatives and products.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand the requirements
• Develop / enhance Java based applications
• Write JUnit and Selenium automation cases as required
• Write / modify Stored Procedures, functions etc as part of regular development work
• Estimate the tasks and contribute to the deliverables appropriately
• Analyze production issues and help fix them
• Guide the team members technically
• Help other team members understand the requirements
• Proactive involvement in Production Support during India hours
• Identify gaps in technical implementations, process or domain knowledge and recommend solutions to address them
• Contribute towards overall growth of the team

Requirements

Education- BE/B.Tech/MCA/ME/M.Tech

Certifications if any- Preferably in Java.

Experience Range- 4 to 6 years

Foundational skills:

• Java, J2EE, JavaScript/AJAX, Spring, MVC, SQL, Unix
• Programming experience with Java.
• Strong in OOPs and design patterns.
• Financial markets business knowledge, including derivatives is an added advantage.
• Experience in building support tools for production support and provide assistance as needed.
• Ability to work in fast development environment and quickly adapt to the changes.
• Experience/ Knowledge in Agile development methodology.
• Test Driven Development using JUnit / Eclipse / Maven.
• Excellent data analysis skills is a must.
• Strong in business/software analysis and data analysis.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• The candidate should have entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter who can work well both independently and with a global team.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desired skills: Micro-services, Angular JS, Domain knowledge on Fixed Income products
