Role Description

FasTutorAI is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance scalable applications that power our AI-driven learning ecosystem. This full-time remote role involves building backend and/or frontend systems, integrating APIs, improving platform performance, and contributing to new product features. The ideal candidate is passionate about solving technical challenges, writing clean and maintainable code, and delivering high-quality software that supports learners and educators.

You will collaborate with AI/ML engineers, product managers, designers, and content teams to build reliable, intuitive, and impactful solutions across the platform.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, implement, and maintain core platform features, services, and integrations.

• Build performant, scalable, and reusable software components using modern frameworks and tools.

• Write clean, secure, well-tested, and well-documented code.

System Architecture & Engineering

• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical design discussions.

• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across environments.

• Support API development, database modeling, and cloud infrastructure integrations.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Go.

• Experience with backend or full-stack development, RESTful APIs, and relational or NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and version control (Git).

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred

• Experience with frameworks and tools such as React, Node.js, FastAPI, Django, or Express.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker).

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.

• Experience in EdTech, AI-driven applications, or large-scale distributed systems.
