Smart Factory Consultant – Manufacturing Domain Consulting
- This role serves as an specialist for to drive advisory and IT transformation project across the
entire Smart factory transformation for manufacturing companies
- Role Level : Senior Consultant/Consultant
Key responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to design and deploy smart factory solution across manufacturing value
streams to boost efficiency, productivity and competitiveness.
- Contribute as Lead Business analyst for custom and COTS related manufacturing IT applications
consulting, implementation and support services.
- Engage Manufacturing IT leadership to define and develop smart factory transformation
roadmap
- Conduct workshops and discovery sessions to identify manufacturing choke points and align
solutions to customer priorities and manufacturing offerings.
- Strong ability to drive first principles and system thinking to client conversations.
- Collaborate and participate with account and delivery leadership to develop and execute
account mining strategies to expand existing footprint.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for implementation programs at customer site.
- Contribute to proposals and use-case led solution roadmap for clients.
- Understand broader manufacturing trends and industry challenges to recommend fit-to-market
solutions
Preferred Skills
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities in areas such as robotics, embedded systems,
predictive maintenance, and digital twins.
- Design and deploy smart factory solutions integrating robotics, embedded systems, and
industrial IoT.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement humanoid robots for material handling,
inspection, and human-machine interaction.
- Experience in use cases related AI/ML algorithms and drive better quality control,
proactive/predictive maintenance, and visibility.
- Familiarity with Industrial IoT Platforms (e.g., Azure IoT, AWS IoT SiteWise) would be added
advantage
- Experience in implementation predictive asset management, AI/ML, Twin, vision analytics use
cases is an advantage.
- Experience in connected solutions, connect assets, battery passport, track and trace solution,
connected vehicles will be added advantage.
- Familiarity with PLC’s, Industrial communication portfolios, IT-OT connectivity concepts (Unified
Namespace, OPC UA Information Model etc)
- Knowledge of Plant IT systems – Planning and Scheduling, MES, quality control, warehousing,
and traceability
- Understanding of ISA95 and factory solutions.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree or advance certification in Computer Sc, Manufacturing,
Production, Mechatronic and/or Industry 4.0
- Experience in Automotive/Discrete/Industrial/Heavy Equipment Manufacturing would be
Preferred
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Automation, Smart manufacturing and /or IIoT.
- Prior manufacturing or IT/OT implementation experience across Operations and Supply Chain
functions.
- Knowledge of industrial and technology shopfloor process and physical flow.
- Good communication skills and consulting acumen.
