Job Description – Store Sales & Operations Executive / Manager Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Store Sales & Operations professional to oversee the daily functioning of the store, ensure smooth operations, maximize sales, and deliver excellent customer experiences. The role involves a combination of sales management, inventory control, team supervision, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service Drive sales targets by promoting products and upselling/cross-selling. Maintain strong product knowledge to guide and assist customers effectively. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Monitor sales trends and provide inputs to improve performance. Store Operations Oversee daily store activities to ensure smooth operations. Maintain store hygiene, layout, and visual merchandising standards. Handle billing, cash management, and reconciliation. Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety standards. Inventory & Stock Management Manage stock levels and ensure timely replenishment. Coordinate with suppliers and back-office teams for procurement. Minimize stock losses through regular audits and control measures. Track fast/slow-moving items and optimize inventory. Team Management (if applicable) Supervise and motivate store staff to achieve sales and service targets. Train team members on product knowledge, sales techniques, and store processes. Prepare duty rosters and monitor staff performance. Reporting & Analysis Generate daily/weekly/monthly sales and operations reports. Provide insights on customer preferences, product performance, and market trends. Support management in planning promotions and business growth strategies. Key Skills & Competencies Strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and customer service orientation. Knowledge of store operations, inventory, and merchandising. Leadership and people management abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in MS Office / POS systems. Qualifications Graduate in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in store sales/operations (retail, FMCG, hardware, or relevant sector). Freshers with strong sales drive may also be considered (for executive level).
