Senior Test Automation Engineer

.We are seeking a highly skilled and curious engineer to elevate the quality and reliability of our products. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks, spanning UI, API, and integration layers, while also performing strategic exploratory testing. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure a high standard of quality, uncover hidden risks, and guide automation and testing strategy. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives on problem-solving, continuous learning, and using innovative tools—including AI-assisted testing—to improve software delivery and team productivity. Your contributions will have a direct impact on engineering efficiency and the overall customer experience.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure automation frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality automation code that balances speed of delivery with long-term reliability.
- Conduct exploratory and high-signal manual testing to uncover edge cases, risks, and product behavior nuances.
- Identify and resolve flaky tests, performance bottlenecks, and architectural gaps in automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools for test generation, debugging, and log analysis to enhance QA productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, improve testability, and guide automation priorities.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of high-quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional QA/Automation experience with strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on expertise in UI and API automation using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Experience designing or evolving automation frameworks that are scalable, maintainable, and adopted across engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and integrating tests efficiently to improve reliability and speed.
- Skilled in exploratory testing, particularly in complex or ambiguous scenarios.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools for testing, debugging, or log analysis and a curiosity to explore new technologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
