Job Description

  • The Senior Talent Acquisition Partner plays a key role in identifying and hiring top talent across Avalara''s diverse business areas, including technology, operations, and go-to-market teams
  • You will partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, align on strategies, and deliver top talent that fuels Avalara''s growth
  • This role combines relationship-building, data-driven recruiting, and continuous improvement to ensure a world-class hiring experience
  • This will be an Individual Contributor role, Reporting to the Director, Talent Acquisition

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across a range of roles and business functions, from intake to offer close.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define requirements, build hiring strategies, and align on priorities.
  • You''ll act as a strategic hiring partner using data, insights, and communication to guide hiring decisions.
  • You''ll source and engage qualified candidates through direct outreach, referrals, AI tools, and social platforms.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices, ensuring diverse and representative candidate slates for all roles.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Avalara''s values and culture.
  • You''ll use AI and automation to improve sourcing, screening, and overall efficiency in the recruiting process.
  • Collaborate with TA Managers, Talent Advisors, and People Partners to align hiring execution with workforce planning goals.
  • Maintain ATS accuracy, compliance, and reporting standards to ensure data-driven accountability.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve recruiter effectiveness.

What You''ll Need to be Successful

  • 8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a global, high-growth, or technology-driven organization.
  • Proven track record of hiring top talent across different business groups and levels.
  • Strong sourcing expertise using Boolean search, social media, referrals, and AI-driven tools.
  • Experience managing recruiting processes end-to-end with a focus on candidate experience and stakeholder management.
  • Strong data orientation and ability to interpret recruiting analytics to inform decisions.
  • Familiarity with ATS and CRM systems with strong attention to data.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring.
  • Comfort with AI and automation tools to enhance recruiter efficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and with global teams.
