RemoteJob Description: SQL Server Database AdministratorPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and optimization of Microsoft SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, security, and performance of database systems supporting critical business applications.Key Responsibilities1. SQL Server Installation and ConfigurationInstall, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances across multiple environments.Set up and manage SQL Server clusters to ensure availability and scalability.Configure and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS), and Analysis Services (SSAS).2. Database Design and ArchitectureDesign and implement efficient database schemas, tables, and relationships.Apply normalization and denormalization principles effectively.Develop and execute indexing strategies to optimize database performance.Implement data partitioning for enhanced manageability and scalability.3. Backup and RecoveryDefine and manage database backup schedules, policies, and retention strategies.Perform and automate backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity.Plan and execute point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery solutions.4. Performance Tuning and OptimizationMonitor, analyze, and improve database performance and query execution.Implement query optimization and indexing best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related performance bottlenecks.5. Security and ComplianceImplement and manage database security, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.Enforce compliance with organizational security policies and data protection standards.Audit and monitor database activities to ensure compliance and integrity.6. High Availability and Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)Configure and maintain SQL Server Always On Availability Groups.Implement and manage database mirroring and replication solutions.Set up and manage SQL Server failover clusters for business continuity.7. Scripting and AutomationWrite, optimize, and maintain T-SQL scripts for database administration tasks.Automate routine operations using SQL Server Agent jobs.Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and functions.8. Monitoring and MaintenanceUtilize monitoring tools such as SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Redgate, and SolarWinds.Perform regular database maintenance including re-indexing and statistics updates.Ensure system health and proactively address potential issues.Qualifications and SkillsStrong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (latest versions).Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and automation.Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS configuration and management.Knowledge of high availability, clustering, and replication technologies.Familiarity with database security, auditing, and compliance practices.Experience using monitoring tools such as SSMS, Redgate, or SolarWinds.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.you can send your resume to taniya@id4consultancy.com
