Role & responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases (2016/2019/2022).
• Design and manage Clustering environments (Active-Active and Active-Passive).
• Implement and support Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Database Mirroring for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Configure and manage Replication (Transactional, Merge, Snapshot) across environments.
• Set up and troubleshoot Linked Servers for secure remote database connections.
• Optimize query performance using execution plans, indexing, statistics, and DMVs.
• Automate maintenance tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, and SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Monitor database health and performance using native and third-party tools.
• Lead or participate in database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities.
• Create, maintain, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for DBA operations.
• Mentor and support junior DBAs through hands-on guidance, reviews, and technical leadership.
• Promote knowledge sharing within the team through documentation and training sessions.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest SQL Server technologies
• Ensure database security and compliance
• Participate in 24x7 on-call support for production systems and incident resolution.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• Strong understanding of SQL
• Experience with database design and development
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience working with MongoDB and Oracle Administration is an asset
• Exposure to SolarWinds DPA, or similar monitoring tools.
