Senior Software Engineer (MERN Stack Developer)

MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Stack Development
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js).
• Implement responsive and interactive UI components using React.js.
• Develop server-side logic, APIs, and services using Node.js and Express.
• Build and integrate scalable MongoDB databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• System Design & Architecture
• Contribute to system architecture and design discussions for scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Optimize application performance and scalability across backend and frontend.
• Ensure applications adhere to best practices in security, architecture, and design patterns.
• Collaboration & Leadership
• Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to translate requirements into functional solutions.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior developers.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to standards.
• Testing & Troubleshooting
• Write unit tests and integration tests to maintain high code quality.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues in development and production environments.
• Drive root cause analysis and long-term fixes for recurring issues.
• Continuous Learning & Innovation
• Stay updated on the latest MERN stack advancements, libraries, and best practices.
• Suggest improvements to enhance the development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experiment with emerging technologies to improve product performance and user experience.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience in the MERN stack - MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Solid understanding of database design, indexing, and optimization in MongoDB.
• Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, or TailwindCSS for frontend styling.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes is a plus.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools, Git version control, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in web application development.
• Proven track record in developing scalable and secure applications using MERN stack.
• Prior experience mentoring developers or leading small projects is desirable.
