Role Description

We are seeking a skilled full time Software Enginee to join our team in Chennai with a primary focus on backend development (Node.js) and secondary contribution to frontend development (ReactJS). The role demands proficiency in backend architectures, caching strategies, database management, and cloud deployment. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of professional experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.  

Qualifications

**Key Responsibilities**  

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable **backend services** using **Node.js (JavaScript; TypeScript preferred)**.  

- Build and scale **RESTful APIs** and integrations with attention to performance and security.  

- Work with **SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)** as well as **NoSQL databases (MongoDB)** and manage data access using **ORM frameworks** (such as Sequelize or Prisma).  

- Implement and optimize **caching solutions** (e.g., Redis, Memcached) to improve performance and scalability.  

- Provide **hands-on experience in ReactJS** for frontend issues and feature enhancements (secondary responsibility).  

- Utilize **Git** for version control, code reviews, and collaborative development.  

- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on **AWS cloud infrastructure**.  

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a focus on system stability and performance.  

- Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve efficiency.  

**Required Skills & Experience**  

- 4 to 6 years of professional experience** in backend or full-stack development.  

- Strong expertise in **Node.js backend development** (JavaScript; TypeScript is a plus).  

- Hands-on experience with **ReactJS** (secondary).  

- Practical knowledge of **caching systems** (Redis, Memcached, or equivalent).  

- Proficiency in **MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB**, and ORM frameworks.  

- Solid understanding of API design, database optimization, and scalable architectures.  

- Experience with **Git** and standard development workflows.  

**Preferred / Bonus Skills**  

- Familiarity with **NestJS** framework.  

- Experience in **microservices design and deployment**.  

- Strong knowledge of **AWS services** (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.).  

- Working experience with **Linux/Unix environments**.  

- Exposure to **Python** for automation or development work.  

- AI/ML knowledge or project experience.  

- Hands-on familiarity with tools such as **Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI coding assistants**.  

**Soft Skills & Leadership Qualities**  

- Excellent **written and verbal communication skills** to engage in client calls, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.  

- Ability to **take ownership of technical decisions** and provide leadership in technology discussions.  

- Flexibility to balance **backend responsibilities** with occasional **frontend contributions**.
