Role Overview

The Sales Engineer – ELV / ICT / BMS will be responsible for driving business development, pre-sales engineering, and client engagement for smart building, automation, and low-voltage systems. The role blends technical solutioning with commercial acumen, working closely with clients, consultants, OEMs, and internal engineering teams to convert opportunities into profitable orders.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Client Engagement

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for BMS, ELV, and ICT projects across commercial, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, PMCs, architects, and contractors.
  • Track tenders, RFQs, and project opportunities; ensure timely submissions.
  • Conduct client meetings, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs.

Pre-Sales & Technical Solutioning

  • Study RFQs, specifications, BOQs, and drawings; identify scope, gaps, and risks.
  • Propose optimal technical solutions aligned with project requirements, standards, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with OEMs for product selection, compliance, approvals, and technical clarifications.
  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, compliance statements, deviation matrices, and value engineering options.

Commercial & Proposal Management

  • Prepare cost estimates, pricing strategies, and bid submissions in coordination with internal teams.
  • Support negotiations on scope, commercials, and contractual terms.
  • Ensure alignment between sales commitments and execution feasibility.

Internal Coordination & Handover

  • Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, Procurement, and Commercial teams for smooth handover post-order.
  • Support project kick-off meetings and remain engaged through early execution to ensure scope clarity.
  • Track order booking, forecasts, and pipeline status.

Systems & Domain Exposure

  • BMS: HVAC controls, controllers, sensors, integration with chillers, VFDs, meters, FAS, etc.
  • ELV: CCTV, FAS, PAS/VA, Access Control, IBMS, Parking Management, AV (where applicable).
  • ICT: Structured cabling, active networking, Wi-Fi, data centers (basic exposure).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related discipline.
  • 3–8 years of experience in sales / pre-sales for BMS, ELV, ICT, or smart building projects.
  • Experience working with consultants and tender-based projects is strongly preferred.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read specifications, BOQs, and drawings
  • Commercial awareness and pricing discipline
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and proposal documentation
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable with client-facing roles
