Senior Quality Engineer - Selenium/Playwright Testing

Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Planning : Define, develop, and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and test plans for our products and features. Test Design & Execution : Design, develop, and execute various types of tests, including functional, integration, system, regression, and performance tests. Automation Expertise : Lead the development and maintenance of robust and scalable test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and best practices. Defect Management : Effectively identify, document, track, and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle. Risk Assessment : Proactively identify and assess potential quality risks and propose mitigation strategies. Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with development, product, and other engineering teams to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure quality is integrated throughout the development process. Performance Analysis : Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and work with development teams to optimize application performance. Process Improvement : Continuously evaluate and improve our QA processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Mentorship & Guidance : Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers, fostering a culture of quality within the team. Metrics & Reporting : Define and track key quality metrics, and provide regular reports on test progress and quality status to stakeholders. Exploratory Testing : Conduct exploratory testing to uncover unexpected issues and ensure a high level of product polish. CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated tests seamlessly into our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software quality assurance. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices. Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar. Proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant for test automation (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#). Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured). Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL. Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira with Xray/Zephyr). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
