We're a fast-moving B2B SaaS startup building a social sweepstakes platform. Our team of 6-8 people ships biweekly and moves with urgency. We're looking for our first dedicated QA engineer to own quality from day one.

What You'll Build

• Design and implement our entire testing strategy from the ground up
• Build automated testing pipelines integrated with our CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
• Create comprehensive regression test suites for our full stack
• Establish QA standards, processes, and best practices
• Own quality across our biweekly release cycles

You'll be testing across the entire stack UI, APIs, database integrations, and cloud infrastructure.

Requirements

Must Have

• 5-7 years

  of hands-on QA experience with modern web applications
• Strong expertise in

  test automation

  with proven track record building frameworks from scratch

• Frontend Testing:

  Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright for E2E testing

• API Testing:

  Postman/Newman, Supertest, or similar REST API testing tools

• Performance Testing:

  Experience with JMeter, k6, or Artillery

• CI/CD Integration:

  Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)

• Database Testing:

  Proficiency writing complex SQL queries to validate data integrity in PostgreSQL
• Deep understanding of testing methodologies (unit, integration, E2E, regression testing)
• Excellent bug documentation and communication skills
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript
• Knowledge of Nest.js or Node.js backend testing
• AWS testing experience (Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.)
• Experience in fast-paced startup environments
• Familiarity with load/stress testing SaaS applications
