Job Description

  Job Title: Senior Officer – Daily Payment Collection Department: Finance / Operations Industry: Event Management Experience Required: 1 to 5 Years (Senior Level) Job Summary: The senior officer Payment Collection will oversee and manage all daily payment collection activities related to events, client transactions, and vendor settlements. The role demands a proactive professional who can ensure financial discipline, accuracy in reporting, and timely deposit of all collections. This position requires leadership in guiding field collection executives and maintaining seamless coordination with the Accounts and Operations departments.   Key Responsibilities: Ø Supervise and monitor daily payment collection operations across multiple events and locations. Ø Ensure timely collection of payments from clients, vendors, and partners as per approved schedules. Ø Verify, consolidate, and approve all collection entries and receipts submitted by field executives. Ø Coordinate closely with the Accounts, Event Operations, and Billing teams for reconciliation and reporting. Ø Maintain strict control over cash flow, deposits, and payment confirmations. Ø Track and follow up on outstanding payments, client dues, and event-based settlements. Ø Prepare daily and weekly collection summary reports for Management and Finance review. Ø Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards for all collections. Ø Handle on-site payment processes during events — cash desk, UPI, card transactions, and petty cash management. Ø Train and supervise junior collection executives and ensure their adherence to timelines and procedures. Ø Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date payment documentation. Ø Implement process improvements to enhance payment tracking and financial transparency.   Required Skills & Competencies:   Ø Strong knowledge of cash handling, reconciliation, and accounting practices.   Ø Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets, and Tally or accounting ERP systems. Ø Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination abilities. Ø High attention to detail, integrity, and sense of financial responsibility. Ø Ability to handle pressure and dynamic event timelines. Ø Strong analytical and reporting skills. Ø Preferably experience in event operations or service-based industries. Educational Qualification: Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Business Administration. Ø Master’s Degree or Diploma in Finance / Accounts / Management preferred.
