About the Role

As a Senior Mobile Developer at Foodsmart, you will lead the effort to bring our proven web experience to mobile users. You’ll be responsible for architecting and delivering a cross-platform mobile application that mirrors the core functionality of our desktop platform, ensuring that users have seamless access to personalized nutrition and telehealth experiences on any device. You have a strong understanding of mobile frameworks, performance optimization, and responsive UI design. You’re passionate about crafting intuitive and reliable mobile experiences, mentoring developers, and collaborating with product and design teams to deliver quality at scale. You stay current with emerging technologies and continuously bring new ideas to enhance usability, reliability, and development efficiency.

You Will

• Design, develop, and maintain the Foodsmart mobile app using PWA or React Native.
• Ensure the mobile app achieves feature and UX parity with the existing web application.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define mobile requirements and deliver end-to-end features.
• Integrate with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring robust and efficient data handling.
• Define, document, and enforce mobile engineering best practices—code reviews, testing, versioning, and CI/CD workflows.
• Optimize app performance and implement offline caching, secure authentication, and error monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on architecture, development, and troubleshooting.
• Lead mobile release processes for both iOS and Android (App Store and Play Store).
• Stay informed on mobile development trends, proposing and implementing improvements.

You Are

• Proficient in mobile app architecture and experienced in building scalable, production-grade applications.
• Strong at translating web functionality into performant and native-like mobile interfaces.
• Efficient in debugging, performance profiling, and testing across multiple devices and platforms.
• Collaborative, with excellent communication skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.
• Detail-oriented and disciplined in ensuring reliability, accessibility, and performance.

You Have

• 6+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in cross-platform mobile development.
• Expertise in React Native (preferred) or Flutter, with strong skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with state management (Redux, MobX, Recoil, or similar).
• Solid understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, authentication, and data synchronization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Fastlane, Bitrise, or App Center) and App Store/Play Store deployment.
• Exposure to PWA, Capacitor, or webview-based mobile frameworks is a plus.
• Experience integrating analytics, push notifications, and mobile security standards.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
