Role Purpose
Wood Mackenzie’s Marketing Performance team require a Senior Marketing Analytics Manager to lead the Analytics function of the department. The individual will be required to proactively identify opportunities that will enable the Marketing department to make more informed decisions via Analytics and actionable insights which will support achieving Marketing OKRs.The individual will need to create an Analytics strategy and roadmap to bring the highest value Insight to the business. They will be expected to work primarily with Marketing stakeholders; however they will also be expected to collaborate with Sales, Product and Research to drive business improvements in performance via Analytics The individual will need to use a range of methods to answer questions and provide Insights, whilst maximising the potential of different data sources available.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide Analytics & Insight that enable Marketing colleagues to make more informed decisions by maximising the potential of different datasets available.
- Work on a range of projects to develop performance, including but not limited to Multi-touch attribution, propensity modelling, ROI analysis, Campaign analysis, Marketing Mix Modelling.
- Create the Analytics & Insight strategy and roadmap.
- Work with Marketing, Sales, Product & Research to drive business decisions using Data & Analytics.
- Manage a small team of Analysts
- Develop the current format for how Analytics and Insight is used across Marketing
- Provide examples of Analytics and Insight that help to contribute to improvements in lead managers conversion rates.
- Work with ABM teams to develop Insights for high value renewals.
- Work with campaign managers to develop campaign effectiveness reporting based on effective data storytelling techniques.
- Identify gap analysis, understanding where Marketing is missing opportunities for performance improvements
- Identify opportunities for continuously improving data quality
- Engage with Senior stakeholders to present analysis via storytelling techniques
- Contribute and work with data privacy, procurement and legal to define Data Governance, quality, and hygiene structure.
- Prioritise requests and projects effectively within Asana and respectfully manage stakeholder expectations.
- Work closely with Marketing Operations to enhance data collection and feedback via effective analysis
About You
- 7+ years experience in leading a Marketing Analytics team, building strategies to enhance use of Data
- Proven experience in providing Analytics & Insight in a B2B Marketing role.
- Experience in using data from MarTech tools such as Salesforce, Pardot (or other Automation tools), GA4, Dreamdata and ABM tools such as 6Sense or Demandbase.
- Superb presentation skills, with the ability to engage Senior level executives.
- Data storytelling ability, with a focus on simplifying Insights to focus on the most important Insights.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- The ability to identify methods for collecting data, perform advanced data analysis and articulate findings to stakeholders with varying data maturity levels.
- The ability to prioritise effectively and comfortable adjust priorities to meet targets.
- A proactive and strategic approach, with a focus on high value strategic projects.
- The ability to use SQL to extract data for analysis.
- Experience of managing a team, with the ability to coach and develop more junior members.
- Knowledge of data governance and hygiene best practices
- A curious nature, with the ability to investigate business critical questions via Analytics & Insight.
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to challenge stakeholders.
Expectations
- While we are a hybrid working company, remote working arrangements will not be considered for this role.
- Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones.
