Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development professional to lead and manage licensing initiatives for global markets but mainly focused on the US. The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical business development, with a strong focus on identifying, evaluating, and negotiating in-licensing opportunities for generic and value-added products as well as alliance management


Key Responsibilities:

In-Licensing Strategy & Execution:

  • Identify and evaluate in-licensing opportunities for generic and complex generics (including injectables, topicals, ophthalmics, etc.) for the US market.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential partners and products aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Partner Engagement:

  • Develop and manage relationships with global pharmaceutical companies, CDMOs, and development partners.
  • Lead due diligence, technical evaluations, and commercial assessments in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Deal Structuring & Negotiation:

  • Drive term sheet discussions and contract negotiations (e.g., licensing, supply, co-development agreements).
  • Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders including legal, regulatory, IP, and finance teams.

Market Intelligence & Analysis:

  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for portfolio planning and strategic decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure successful onboarding and execution of in-licensed projects.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in business development or licensing roles within the generic pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven track record of successful in-licensing deals for the US market.
  • Strong understanding of US FDA regulatory pathways (ANDA, 505(b)(2), etc.).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
