Senior Executive – Actuarial (Shareholder Reporting)

Job Summary-:

The Senior Executive – Actuarial (Shareholder Reporting) is responsible for delivering high-quality and timely shareholder-related actuarial reports and analyses. This role involves working closely with Finance, Risk, and other Actuarial teams to support statutory and regulatory reporting, provide insights to shareholders, and ensure compliance with local and international standards

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shareholder Reporting:

• Prepare and validate shareholder-related actuarial reporting including new business reporting and Embedded Value calculation
• Support quarterly and annual shareholder reports in accordance with Ind AS, IFRS 17, or other relevant frameworks.
• Assist in producing economic capital reports for shareholder review.

2.Financial Reporting Support:

• Collaborate with Finance to ensure timely and accurate financial inputs
• Provide actuarial inputs for income statements, balance sheets, and disclosures.
• Support audits by providing required data and explanation of actuarial items.

3.Analysis and Insights

• Perform UAT on the Prophet workspace on quarterly basis
• Develop analytics and dashboards to track business performance from a shareholder’s perspective.
• Support actuarial management in analyzing profitability and value of new business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 actuarial exams cleared (Institute of Actuaries of India or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in life insurance / actuarial domain, ideally with exposure to shareholder or financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel, actuarial software (e.g., Prophet, RAFM), SQL, VBA. Exposure to Python or R is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and time management. Ability to work independently and in teams

Preferred Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of shareholder metrics such as Embedded Value, Profit margins, Return on Capital.
• Understanding of Ind AS / IFRS / Solvency II frameworks.
• Familiarity with actuarial control cycle and insurance regulations in India.
