Senior Executive - Accounts Payable

Position Overview:

The AP Manager oversees the full accounts payable process, including vendor invoice processing, payment disbursement, ledger scrutiny, and vendor reconciliations. This position ensures accuracy, compliance with company policy, and timely payments aligned with project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the AP team responsible for invoice processing, approval workflows, and vendor payments.
• Verify and process vendor bills related to construction, consultants, utilities, and service providers as per contractual terms.
• Conduct periodic reviews of the vendor ledger and resolve discrepancies or unapproved balances.
• Maintain and monitor the AP ageing and ensure timely payments
• Monitory advance payment and follow-ups for invoices and account the same
• Coordinate with procurement and project management teams to validate GRNs and work completion before payment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable GST/TDS rules and proper booking of tax entries.
• Review and approve payment runs, ensuring internal controls are maintained.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts for payables based on project timelines and funding.
• Prepare and support documents for audits, internal reviews, and statutory inspections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred).
• 5–8 years of AP management experience, ideally within the real estate or construction industry.
• Strong understanding of vendor accounting, project-based cost allocation, and compliance.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Tally or similar) and Excel.
• Strong leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
