Senior Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst with strong experience in the finance domain to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams including GTM, Accounting, Finance, Tax, and Engineering to deliver actionable insights, support financial processes, and drive operational efficiencies. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis, financial systems, and stakeholder management to influence business decisions and improve financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced data analysis, identify trends, build visualizations, and deliver insights that fulfill the needs of stakeholders across GTM, Accounting, Finance, and Tax functions.
• Conduct ticket triaging to detect potential misbilling by analyzing transactional data and determining refund or clawback amounts.
• Provide month-end close support for Accounting and Finance & Strategy teams, including data validation and incident investigation.
• Coordinate and execute cross-functional projects to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Perform data analysis to support financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requirements.
• Partner with FinSys engineering teams to define product solutions and contribute to system enhancements.
• Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen team capabilities and encourage a culture of continuous learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in data analysis, with proven exposure to finance/accounting domain.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Solid understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting financial close processes and/or audit requirements.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
• Exposure to prompt engineering / working with AI tools for data-driven problem-solving.
• Familiarity with financial systems and ERP tools.
• Prior experience working with distributed teams across geographies.
