Senior Consultant – Advisory and Consulting - Hyderabad

About this role:

We are looking for a proactive and dynamic professional with proven experience in advisory and consulting, particularly in cluster development, MSMEs, and entrepreneurship.

As a Senior Consultant, you will work closely with government clients, senior leadership, and a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of cluster development advisory projects, as well as initiatives in EdTech and skill development.

The role requires strong capabilities in strategic engagement, policy advocacy, market research, and stakeholder management. You will play a key role in designing, executing, and monitoring projects in education and skill development, contributing to their overall impact and sustainability.

The ideal candidate should be proficient in developing high-quality reports, and presentations to support project planning and execution. Strong networking and relationship-building skills with entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and financial institutions are essential for success in this role.

CDI primarily focuses on projects which aim to improve the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector, and has worked on job intensive sectors like textiles, food processing, leather, apart from craft-based livelihoods projects. CDI’s work has been impactful in helping MSMEs achieve scale through cluster development, developing competitive value chains for specific sectors and capacity building for artisans and farmers in rural areas.

CDI works closely with Learnet Skills Ltd (www.learnetskills.com), which is a subsidiary of Schoolnet, with NSDC also holding equity stake. Learnet is a leader in TVET in India, and also delivers entrepreneurship development programs, which involve mobilizing aspirational youth, providing them with domain and business skills and mentoring them for new business setups.

CDI is looking to hire a passionate professional with strong interpersonal skills to work on such projects. Currently, we are looking to hire a Senior Consultant based in Hyderabad to work for projects in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh,

What you will do:

The work is expected to include the following:

• Work closely with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and financial institutions to ensure smooth project execution.
• Analyze economic trends, market dynamics, and regional opportunities to inform strategic interventions.
• Design and implement innovative, evidence-based solutions to foster enterprise growth and sustainability.
•  Lead and manage projects with clear outcomes and measurable impact.
• Work across complex and dynamic environments, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders.
• Engage with local communities and build strong grassroots networks to support inclusive development.
• Prepare detailed reports, policy recommendations, and presentations that support strategic decision-making and project implementation.
• Contribute to EdTech and Skill Development initiatives.
