We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Construction Manager to join our team in Ahmedabad, India. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project management plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met and deadlines are achieved
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality control
  • Manage and coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
  • Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders, including senior management and clients
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Ahmedabad
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control programs throughout the construction process
  • Resolve conflicts and address issues that arise during the construction process, making decisive and analytical decisions
  • Stay updated on industry trends, innovative construction methods, and sustainable practices to improve project efficiency and outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale industrial construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations specific to Ahmedabad, India
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse project teams
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
  • Proficiency in construction project management software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant tools
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, financial management, and cost control techniques
  • Experience with sustainable construction practices and green building certifications
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and efficiency
  • Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project oversight
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM) is highly desirable
