Senior Civil Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Civil Engineer to lead complex infrastructure projects and oversee engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project management, construction management, and civil design, with a focus on delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects including water treatment, wastewater systems, pipelines, and land development, utilizing advanced engineering software and techniques. The Senior Civil Engineer will play a critical role in project planning, execution, and technical oversight, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate civil engineering projects from conception through completion, including planning, design, and construction phases.
• Develop detailed project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera to ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, schematics, and system designs utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software.
• Perform construction management duties including site inspections, quality assurance, and construction oversight to ensure adherence to plans and safety standards.
• Conduct geotechnical assessments and hydraulics analysis using HEC-RAS, SWMM, ArcGIS, GIS platforms, and Hydraulics software.
• Prepare accurate construction estimates and budgets utilizing construction estimating tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical engineers, land surveyors, and system designers for integrated project delivery.
• Manage project documentation through technical writing and drafting to support proposals, reports, and compliance submissions.
• Oversee land surveying activities to support project development.
• Ensure all projects meet regulatory requirements related to water treatment, wastewater management, pipeline installation, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; additional certifications in project management or specialized software (e.g., GIS certifications) are a plus.
• Extensive experience in civil engineering with a focus on infrastructure projects such as water/wastewater systems or pipelines.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, Bluebeam, Mathcad; experience with HEC-RAS, SWMM, ArcGIS/GIS platforms essential.
• Strong knowledge of construction management practices including scheduling (Project scheduling), construction inspection, estimation (Construction estimating), and system design.
• Skilled in technical writing for reports and project documentation.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across multiple projects.
• Strong analytical skills in hydraulics, geotechnical engineering principles, land surveying techniques, and environmental regulations.
