Role Overview :-

The Senior Manager Category will own the category’s P&L, driving sustained revenue growth, margin improvement, and inventory efficiency. The role combines commercial acumen, analytical depth, and an intuitive understanding of consumer behaviour in the jewellery segment. The incumbent will identify growth opportunities across product, price, and customer journeys while maintaining profitability and inventory health within industry guardrails.

Key Responsibilities

1. P&L Ownership

  • Drive revenue and gross margin targets for the Jewellery category
  • Develop and execute strategic and operational plans aligned with business goals
  • Track key metrics including sales, contribution margin, and working capital efficiency

2. Category Strategy & Growth

  • Identify new growth opportunities
  • Shape assortment strategy across price points, designs, and customer occasions
  • Partner with channels, branding and tech teams to build differentiated propositions and drive traffic-to-conversion outcomes
  • Leverage customer journey insights and funnel analytics to improve engagement and repeat purchase behavior

3. Margin & Profitability Improvement

  • Create structured frameworks for pricing, discounting, and promotional effectiveness
  • Monitor contribution health and ensure sustainable profitability

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Branding, Supply, and channels to drive category visibility and business outcomes
  • Present data-driven insights and performance reviews to senior leadership

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of the Jewellery market — consumer trends, pricing dynamics, and product lifecycle
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and margin growth in premium or high-velocity retail businesses
  • Analytical and data-driven decision maker with strong financial acumen
  • Ability to manage complexity, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability


Qualifications & Experience

  • Total 5+ years of experience with 2+ years in:
  • Management consulting

    , or
  • High-growth consumer / Jewellery / lifestyle / e-commerce categories

    with P&L ownership.
  • Experience in scaling categories or improving profitability through

    data-led

    and customer-centric initiatives
