Role Overview

The Senior Automation Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Viyona Fintech’s applications. The role involves building and maintaining automation frameworks, executing test strategies, and working closely with development, product, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and backend applications
• Build and enhance automation frameworks using industry-standard tools
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Collaborate with developers to define test strategies early in the SDLC
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps
• Ensure high test coverage, stability, and quality metrics for every release
• Review automation code and guide junior QA engineers
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Mentor junior testers and drive QA best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4–10 years of experience in software testing with strong automation expertise
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, Cucumber, etc.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in API automation using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools
• Performance testing exposure using

  JMeter, Gatling, or k6

• Database testing experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.)

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI

• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Good to Have

• Mobile automation experience (Appium)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Prior experience in fintech or regulated environments

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
