Work Experience

Automation Development

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, and TestNG/JUnit.
• Build reusable automation components, libraries, and utilities.
• Develop UI, API, functional, and regression test suites.
  

Framework Ownership

• Improve and scale existing automation frameworks.
• Implement best practices in coding, exception handling, waits, design patterns (POM, PFM, Singleton, Factory, Strategy).
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  

Quality Engineering

• Participate in requirement analysis, grooming, and design discussions.
• Design test strategy, test scenarios, test data, and traceability for automation coverage.
• Ensure early defect detection through shift-left testing.
  

CI/CD & DevOps

• Integrate tests with CI pipelines; ensure stability and reporting.
• Implement Allure/Extent reporting dashboards.
• Support containerized automation (Docker) & cloud execution (Sauce Labs, BrowserStack).
  

Team Leadership

• Mentor junior testers and drive test automation best practices.
• Review automation code and ensure adherence to standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and advanced locators.
• Excellent working experience with Cucumber (BDD), Gherkin writing, hooks, step definitions.
• Experience with REST Assured for API automation.
• Strong understanding of OOPs, Collections, Exceptions, Streams, Lambda.
• Experience building frameworks using POM, Page Factory, PFM, and other patterns.
• Deep knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in JUnit/TestNG, assertions, data-driven testing.
• In-depth understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
