What You’ll Do

The Lease Accounting Support Specialist for GFA Lease Accounting COE, works as a key member of the Lease Accounting team to assist the company in achieving targeted goals. This position reports to the Lease Accounting Supervisor and has an active role in entering and updating leases in the subledger to maintain compliance with the lease accounting standard-ASC 842. In addition, the Lease Support Specialist responds to customer queries, provides responses to routine accounting questions, performs end of term activities, vendor invoice reconciliations and participates in continuous improvement projects."Lease ManagementEnter and update leases in the subledgerPerform Lease modification as required to the existing leasesRequest for invoices Lease Service Provider/VendorRun basic portfolio reports to montor the health of the leases and report any abnormality for corrective actionsPerform End of Lease Term activitiesMaintains updated procedure documentation and train the back upActively participates in month end process to ensure completion within target timeframeParticipates in continuous improvement and special projects as assignedRegularly monitor the health of the Lease portfolio and ensure it reflects the most updated life cycle eventEnsures completeness and accuracy of lease dataContinuously improving current processes to help the team become more efficient and proactive in the daily/monthly responsibilitiesLease AccountingMonth end close supportRemove/Add notifications, send emails to the relevant stakeholdersWork on clearing the BECS erros occuring as a result of File Interface errorsPost manual entries to sub ledgerAssists with correcting entries posted to subledgerReconciliationPerform Vendor Reconciliation/AGIS Submission formVendor Reconciliation/New DealsVendor Reconciliation/MaintenanceCustomer ManagementEffective communication and timely resolution of customer tickets in CORAAble to work and communicate both international and domestic customers

Skills

Minimum of 8-10 years of finance/accounting experience"Experience with financial and ERP systems: Oracle (AR, AP, and GL), SAP (FICO)

Experience Working With CoStar/Lease Accelerator (preferred)

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word)""Verbal and written communicationCustomer serviceData analysisReconciliationsAccountability and Proactive approachDrive for result"
