This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 600000 - Rs 1200000 (ie INR 6-12 LPA)

Senior Accountant

to lead financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide valuable financial insights to support decision-making. The role requires expertise in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and manage tax filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic business goals.
Strengthen and monitor internal financial controls to maintain integrity and compliance.
Oversee payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
Support financial planning, cash flow management, and cost optimization initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
5-7 years of proven experience in accounting and finance.
Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, or equivalent) and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities effectively
