About the Role
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyst
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, search engine algorithms, and best practices across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO. Key Responsibilities
As a Search Engine Optimization Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following areas:
1. SEO Strategy & Planning
- Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current website performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support long-term and short-term SEO roadmaps for different projects and websites.
- Monitor industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- 2. Keyword Research & Analysis
- Perform extensive keyword research to identify high-intent, relevant, and competitive keywords.
- Analyze search trends, user intent, and keyword difficulty to support content and optimization strategies.
- Map keywords to landing pages to ensure proper targeting and avoid keyword cannibalization.
- Regularly update keyword lists based on performance data and market changes.
- 3. On-Page SEO Optimization
- Optimize website content, meta titles, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, and internal linking structures.
- Ensure SEO best practices are followed for all new and existing web pages.
- Collaborate with content writers to guide SEO-friendly content creation.
- Improve website structure, navigation, and user experience to support search visibility.
- Conduct on-page SEO audits and provide actionable recommendations.
- 4. Technical SEO
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues related to crawlability, indexability, and site performance.
- Work on improving website speed, mobile-friendliness, and overall technical health.
- Monitor and fix issues related to broken links, duplicate content, redirects, and canonical tags.
- Support implementation of structured data and schema markup where applicable.
- Coordinate with developers to ensure SEO requirements are correctly implemented.
- 5. Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
- Assist in developing ethical and sustainable off-page SEO strategies.
- Support link-building initiatives to improve website authority and credibility.
- Analyze backlink profiles and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor competitor backlink strategies and industry benchmarks.
- Ensure off-page activities follow search engine guidelines and best practices.
- 6. Content Optimization & Collaboration
- Work closely with content teams to optimize blogs, landing pages, and website copy for SEO.
- Identify content gaps and suggest new content ideas based on keyword research and user intent.
- Optimize existing content to improve rankings and engagement.
- Ensure content aligns with brand voice while maintaining SEO effectiveness.
- 7. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor SEO performance metrics such as rankings, organic traffic, impressions, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Prepare regular SEO performance reports with insights and recommendations.
- Analyze data to measure the impact of SEO initiatives and campaigns.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and improve SEO strategies continuously.
- 8. Competitor & Market Analysis
- Conduct competitor analysis to understand SEO strategies, keyword focus, and content positioning.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the competitive landscape.
- Recommend actionable improvements based on competitor insights.
- 9. Continuous Learning & Optimization
- Stay updated with search engine algorithm changes and industry best practices.
- Experiment with new SEO techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Continuously test, analyze, and optimize SEO activities to maximize results.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Relevant SEO or digital marketing certifications are an added advantage.
- Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field.
- Freshers with strong SEO knowledge, certifications, or hands-on project experience are welcome to apply.
- Technical & Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of search engine optimization concepts and best practices.
- Familiarity with on-page, off-page, and technical SEO techniques.
- Ability to analyze website performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website structures is a plus.
