About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our healthcare technology team, focusing on building and maintaining integrations with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) devices, and other healthcare products.You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless data flow across our healthcare ecosystem, enabling comprehensive patient data aggregation and interoperability.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development :
-  Design, develop, and maintain integrations with various EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Athenahealth, etc.)
-  Build integrations with RPM device manufacturers and IoT healthcare devices to collect patient vitals and monitoring data
-  Integrate with third-party healthcare products, labs, pharmacies, and payer systems
-  Implement and maintain HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare data exchange standards
-  Develop RESTful APIs and work with SOAP-based web services
-  Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
-  Design and implement RPA solutions when direct API integrations are not feasible
-  Automate data extraction and entry processes across healthcare platforms
-  Build reliable bot workflows for repetitive integration tasks
-  Monitor and maintain RPA bots to ensure data accuracy and system reliability
 
Data Management
-  Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR)
-  Transform and map data between different healthcare formats and standards
-  Implement data validation and error handling mechanisms
-  Optimize data pipelines for performance and & Documentation :
-  Work closely with healthcare providers, partners, and internal teams to understand integration requirements
-  Document integration specifications, API endpoints, and data mappings
-  Provide technical support for integration-related issues
-  Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
 
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills :
-  4-7 years of software development experience, preferably in healthcare or integration-focused roles
-  Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Node.js
-  Experience with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CCD/CCDA)
-  Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SOAP web services, and webhook implementations
-  Experience with RPA tools (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar)
-  Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
-  Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
-  Experience with message queuing systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.)
-  Healthcare Domain Knowledge
-  Understanding of EHR systems and healthcare workflows
-  Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare data structures
-  Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards
-  Experience working with patient data and understanding PHI handling requirements
 
Soft Skills
-  Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
-  Excellent communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
-  Ability to work independently and manage multiple integration projects
-  Attention to detail, especially regarding data accuracy and security
-  Adaptability to work with legacy systems and modern technologies
 
Preferred Qualifications
-  Experience integrating with major EHR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts)
-  Knowledge of RPM devices and IoMT (Internet of Medical Things)
-  Experience with integration platforms (Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, Iguana)
-  Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks beyond HIPAA
-  Experience with OAuth 2.0, SMART on FHIR authentication
-  Previous experience in a healthcare startup or digital health company
-  Knowledge of RPA tools and healthcare IT standards
