About the Role:
SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) Lead
asset management, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance planning, and integration with other SAP modules
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead
SAP PM module design, configuration, and implementation
across full project lifecycle — from blueprint to go-live and post-support. - Drive
business process mapping
for equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance scheduling, and breakdown management. - Manage
data migration activities
, including master data cleansing, extraction, transformation, validation, and load (using tools such as LSMW, BODS, or SAP Migration Cockpit
). - Collaborate with
business stakeholders
to gather requirements and align SAP PM functionalities with operational goals. - Define and implement
maintenance strategies, task lists, work orders, notifications, and maintenance plans
. - Ensure seamless
integration with MM, PP, and FI/CO
modules for material management, production, and cost tracking. - Develop and maintain
functional specifications
, test scripts, and end-user training documentation. - Support
system testing (SIT/UAT)
, user training, and go-live preparation activities. - Provide
post-implementation support
and drive process optimization initiatives. - Lead and mentor functional team members and ensure adherence to global PM standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
. 10+ years
of experience in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
module with at least 2 full-cycle implementations
.- Proven expertise in
data migration
— including legacy data extraction, transformation, validation, and load processes. - Strong hands-on configuration skills in
preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and work order management
. - Solid understanding of
integration points
between PM and other modules (MM, PP, FI/CO). - Experience working with
master data objects
(equipment, functional locations, task lists, BOMs). - Familiarity with
S/4HANA environment
and modern migration tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit
). - Excellent
communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement
skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with
EAM (Enterprise Asset Management)
or SAP S/4HANA PM
implementations. - Exposure to
IoT-based maintenance
, predictive maintenance
, or Asset Intelligence Network (AIN)
. - Working knowledge of
interfaces and data integration
with external maintenance systems. - Strong analytical, leadership, and team management capabilities.
