The Consultant facilitates the implementation and support of SAP modules to enhance the client’s business functionality and overall performance while maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction.


  • Should be able to articulate business requirements and propose SAP solutions.


  • Should have experience in understanding SAP Implementation project methodology, phases, and work as per tight timelines as per project schedules/ resources.


  • Should be able to analyze the current business processes and scenarios of the client and recommend/develop solutions to meet the client's needs.


  • Should be responsible primarily for the successful implementation of the SAP module, providing functional expertise, guidance, presentation, and instruction on SAP products to clients and other stakeholders.


  • Should have experience in managing complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved procedures.


  • Should demonstrate the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation and discussion.


  • Consultants must be able to understand the specific area project risks and be able to engage the right stakeholders on a timely basis.


  • Should be able to contribute to pre-sales, customer demos, Retail roadmaps, Customer POCs


  • Should be able to lead in-house initiatives and focus groups to create knowledge assets and services


  • Should be able to improve efficiency of delivery through knowledge assets & services creation


  • Should be able to ramp up internal colleagues


Customer Expectation Management


  • Should have experience in managing customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle with a proactive approach and positive attitude


SAP IS Retail / Fashion Consulting and Implementation

  • Should possess at least 5 to 8 years of experience in Business Process analysis, problem definition, and detailing of Processes of SAP IS-Retail different functional areas related to Retail Materials Management and Supply Chain

  • Should understand the Implementation Lifecycle including the BluePrint phase, Design and Configuration phases, RICEFW Management, Testing ( Unit Testing, Functional Testing, User Acceptance Testing) Data Migration Process, and Hyper care support


  • Should have strong experience related to Process, Configuration, and support in the following areas (preferably at least 2 specific areas mentioned below):

Hard Skills
  • SAP Retail - Procurement and Materials Management

  • Procure to Pay Process, Inventory Management


  • Hands-on experience working on purchase requisition, purchase orders, standard procurement processes, purchase-to-order, and third-party order procurement processes


  • Purchase Pricing, Vendor Rebate


  • Hands-on experience working on Goods Movements ( Goods Receipts, Issue, Transfer-in, Transfer Out), Inventory Stock Take Process


  • Advance Return Management including Return Material Authorization


  • Integration of MM Module with SD and FI


  • MRP Run and Requirement Planning


  • SAP Retail Master Data:

  • Article Master, Assortment and Listing, Store Master, Business Partner Master, Store Group, Merchandise Hierarchy, Article Hierarchy, Season

  • SAP Retail - Merchandise Management (Additional desired skills - Good to have)


  • SAP Retail Pricing and Promotion Management

  • Load Balancing, Stock Allocation, Empties, Value Added Services

  • POS Outbound and Inbound Process

  • SAP MIM - Merchandise Instore Management

  • For the successful delivery of a project, time is of the essence, Hence a task-level time-bound approach would be a key skill the consultant must possess.

Working Hours and Travel


  • The majority of Groupsoft customers are based out of North America and Europe, hence working hours flexibility would be required.


  • The position will also entail global travel on time to time-to-time basis, hence the candidate must be ready to travel onsite for a short duration.

  • Considering SAP products/solutions are always evolving, new versions and technologies learnings are key for consulting success,


  • The consultants need to be on top of the learning curve and keep on building new skills in the different modules of SAP.
