Job Overview

A Senior ABAP on HANA Developer with 5-6 years of experience is required for a contract position centered on developing and optimizing ABAP applications tailored for SAP HANA environments, ensuring efficient data processing and integration across SAP modules. This role demands involvement in at least two full-cycle implementations, focusing on modern ABAP techniques like CDS views and OData services to support S/4HANA migrations and enhancements.

The contract involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions, troubleshoot HANA-specific issues, and maintain code quality in fast-paced project settings. Emphasis is placed on leveraging HANA's in-memory capabilities for real-time analytics and reporting within SAP ECC or S/4HANA landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs optimized for SAP HANA, including reports, interfaces, and custom extensions using object-oriented ABAP (OOABAP).
• Participate in a minimum of two end-to-end SAP implementations, covering requirement analysis, development, testing, and deployment phases in S/4HANA environments.
• Create and optimize Core Data Services (CDS) views, AMDP procedures, and OData services for seamless integration with HANA database and SAP modules like SD, MM, FI, and CO.
• Handle IDOC processing, BAdI enhancements, and workflow developments while ensuring HANA performance tuning for complex data models and queries.
• Perform unit and integration testing, debugging, and code reviews to deliver scalable, bug-free applications in contract project timelines.
• Document technical specifications and support knowledge transfer for ongoing maintenance and future HANA-based enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field.
• 5-6 years of proven experience in ABAP development specifically on SAP HANA, including at least two full implementation projects.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP on HANA features such as CDS views, AMDP, and native HANA modeling for S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI) and integration tools like IDocs, RFCs, and OData.
• Solid skills in performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting HANA-specific applications.
• Adaptability to contract roles, with the ability to work independently or in teams on time-sensitive deliverables.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model), Fiori/UI5, or SAP BTP for modern development extensions.
• Knowledge of S/4HANA migrations, AIF development, or SPROXY for advanced integrations.
• SAP certification in ABAP for HANA or S/4HANA development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Eclipse ADT for collaborative contract projects.
