Salesforce Architect

1. Solution Design and Architecture -

Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

Define system architecture and data models ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Select appropriate Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.) to align with business processes.

Design integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.

2. Technical Leadership and Governance -

Define and enforce development standards, design patterns, and best practices.

Oversee the full Salesforce development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to security protocols, and promote reusability and maintainability.

Provide guidance on Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, Visualforce, and Flow design.

3. Data Architecture and Management -

Define data models and relationships to ensure optimal performance and scalability.

Implement data governance policies to maintain data integrity and compliance.

Manage large data volumes and design solutions to prevent performance bottlenecks.

Define data migration strategies and ETL processes for seamless data movement.

4. Integration and API Strategy -

Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems.

Leverage Salesforce APIs, Middleware (Mulesoft, Dell Boomi), and ETL tools for secure and reliable data exchange.

Define and document API strategies, data mapping, and transformation logic.

5. Security and Compliance -

Design and implement robust security models, including sharing rules, profiles, and permission sets.

Ensure compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC2.

Monitor security risks and enforce security policies within the Salesforce environment.

6. DevOps, CI/CD, and Automation -

Define CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments using tools like Gearset, Copado, and Jenkins.

Implement version control using Git, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.

Enable automated testing to ensure system reliability and consistency.

7. Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication -

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and functional teams to gather requirements and define solutions.

Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.

8. Salesforce Platform Optimization -

Perform regular system audits to identify performance bottlenecks.

Optimize platform capabilities through governor limits, bulk processing, and async processes.

Leverage Salesforce features like Platform Events, Batch Apex, and Asynchronous Processing to handle complex use cases.

9. Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing -

Mentor and guide Salesforce developers, administrators, and junior architects.

Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions, workshops, and Salesforce best practice training.

Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

10. Monitoring and Performance Management -

Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to identify and resolve system issues.

Optimize Salesforce applications to ensure peak performance and minimal downtime.

Conduct regular health checks and maintain technical documentation.
