Job Summary:

The Sales Team Leader is responsible for leading and motivating a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and expand market presence. The role involves developing sales strategies, building strong client relationships, and driving the promotion and sales of textile products (e.g., fabrics, yarns, garments, home textiles). The ideal candidate has a strong background in textile sales and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Supervise, train, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and support.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Collaborate with management on pricing, promotions, and product positioning.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and distributors.
  • Handle high-value accounts and complex negotiations when needed.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely support and issue resolution.

Market & Product Knowledge:

  • Stay up to date with textile industry trends, competitor offerings, and innovations.
  • Communicate market feedback to the product development or production team.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track team KPIs and sales performance using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Prepare regular reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to improve team effectiveness and market approach.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in textile sales, with 1–2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of textile products, manufacturing processes, and B2B sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, exhibitions, and field visits.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in technical textiles, home textiles, or apparel textiles.
  • Existing network of textile industry buyers or distributors.
  • Multilingual abilities, depending on region or target markets.
