Department: Sales & Business Development Location: [Jaipur, Rajasthan] Reports To: Director / Regional Sales Head / CEO Job Type: Full-time Experience Required: 3–8 years (with 1–3 years in solar industry preferred) Job Summary: The Solar Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing sales opportunities for solar energy products and solutions, including rooftop systems (on-grid/hybrid), solar pumps, street lighting, and industrial lighting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the solar market, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of sales performance. Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company targets. Identify potential clients in residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial sectors. Generate leads through networking, field visits, digital platforms, and local tie-ups. Client Relationship Management. Engage with customers to understand their energy needs and offer suitable solar solutions. Provide accurate product information, quotations, and financial returns (ROI, payback period, subsidies). Build strong long-term client relationships and ensure repeat business and referrals. Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of sales executives/engineers. Set performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews. Provide training and guidance to the team on technical and sales aspects. Collaboration & Reporting: Coordinate with engineering, design, and installation teams for project feasibility and execution. Track sales activities, report to senior management, and maintain CRM/database of prospects. Monitor competitor activities and market trends. Marketing Support: Assist in organizing awareness campaigns, exhibitions, and seminars. Provide input on marketing materials and product positioning based on customer feedback. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) / BBA / MBA in Marketing or related field. Experience: Proven 3+ years of experience in B2B/B2C sales, preferably in the solar/renewable energy industry. Technical Understanding: Good knowledge of solar PV systems, government policies (e.g., net metering, PM-KUSUM), and financing/subsidy models. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Sales Ability: Strong negotiation, closing skills, and a results-driven approach. Tools: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital lead generation platforms.
