About Sāmya – Your Honest Pantry®
Sāmya is a clean-label kitchen pantry brand built around one simple idea: everyday food should be honest, traceable, and minimally processed. We work closely with farmers and small processors to bring wood-pressed oils and essential pantry staples made using traditional methods, without shortcuts, chemicals, or unnecessary processing.
Our products are not positioned as “luxury” or “trendy health foods.” They are meant for regular kitchens that care about what goes into their food. Transparency, sourcing, and process matter more to us than loud marketing. When customers buy Sāmya, they are buying clarity — about ingredients, origin, and how the product is made.
Farmers markets are a core growth channel for Sāmya. They allow direct conversations with customers, product education through tasting, and honest feedback. This role plays a critical part in building trust, recall, and early traction for the brand.
Role Overview
This role is for someone who can represent Sāmya on the ground — at farmers markets, pop-ups, and local activations. You will be the face of the brand, responsible for setting up stalls, engaging customers, explaining products, driving sales, and collecting real customer insights.
This is a hands-on role. If you’re uncomfortable talking to strangers, selling face-to-face, or handling stalls and logistics, this role is not a fit.
Key Responsibilities
On-Ground Sales & Brand Representation
Set up and manage Sāmya stalls at farmers markets and local events
Actively engage customers, offer tastings, explain products, ingredients, sourcing, and brand philosophy
Drive direct sales at stalls and ensure smooth billing and inventory handling
Represent the brand professionally and consistently across all market interactions
Market Coordination & Execution
Coordinate with farmers market organizers to ensure timely stall booking, setup, and compliance
Ensure stall setup is completed on time and brand presentation meets standards
Manage basic logistics related to stall operations (stock, displays, sampling, etc.)
Customer Engagement & Feedback
Collect customer feedback, objections, preferences, and buying behavior
Capture customer details (with consent) for future marketing and follow-ups
Share structured feedback with the internal team to improve products, pricing, and communication
Local Marketing & Growth
Actively publicize the brand at markets and nearby areas
Identify and test new on-ground marketing and selling ideas (sampling methods, offers, conversations, collaborations)
Observe competitor stalls and report insights on pricing, messaging, and tactics
Working Days & Schedule
Saturday and Sunday are regular working days due to farmers markets
Monday is a weekly off
Work hours will be aligned with market timings and event schedules
Flexibility is expected based on market locations and setup requirements
Skills & Requirements
Strong verbal communication skills (English + local language preferred)
Comfortable speaking to strangers and selling in person
Basic understanding of food products, health, or willingness to learn quickly
Organized, reliable, and punctual — especially for market days
Willingness to work on weekends and holidays (markets are non-negotiable)
Prior experience in field sales, retail, events, or brand activations is a plus
What This Role Is NOT
Not a desk or digital marketing role
Not a passive promoter role
Not a fixed 9-to-5 job
What Success Looks Like
Consistent and timely stall execution across all assigned market days
Active customer engagement leading to strong tasting-to-purchase conversion
Market sales performance meeting or exceeding defined targets
Incentives directly linked to sales generated at farmers markets
Accurate tracking of sales, customer interactions, and leads captured
Meaningful customer feedback and insights shared with the team
Growing repeat customer recognition and trust for the Sāmya brand
Note: Incentives are performance-based and calculated on actual market sales. Higher sales and better conversion directly result in higher incentives.
