Job Description

Position Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting the hotel’s products and services. This role involves managing sales accounts, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction and successful event execution.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic hospitality professional with excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, capable of achieving both individual and team sales targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Generation

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy goals across all market segments (corporate, leisure, MICE, travel agents, etc.).
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and client visits.
  • Maintain and grow existing accounts through consistent communication, relationship management, and service excellence.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales deals that align with the hotel’s pricing strategy and profitability goals.

Market Analysis & Business Development

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to represent the hotel and build brand awareness.
  • Work closely with the Revenue and Marketing teams to develop promotional packages, seasonal offers, and targeted campaigns.

Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of clients and prospects using CRM systems.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and site inspections to showcase hotel facilities and services.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of client requirements to the operations and banquet teams for successful event execution.
  • Handle client feedback and resolve issues promptly to ensure long-term satisfaction and repeat business.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports, forecasting, and revenue analysis.
  • Track and evaluate performance against targets and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all contracts, proposals, and correspondence comply with hotel policies and brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in a similar position within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality sales processes, market segmentation, and revenue management principles.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and hotel sales software (e.g., Delphi, Opera PMS, or similar CRM systems).

  • Established network of corporate and travel industry contacts.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
