Sales Manager

In this role, the Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, managing distribution channels, and developing key business relationships across the Bangalore region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets for General Trade.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas of opportunity and optimizing the sales pipeline.
  • Distribution Management:

  • Oversee and manage the distribution network in the Bangalore territory to ensure efficient product availability and stock management.
  • Coordinate with distributors to maintain adequate stock levels, resolve issues, and ensure smooth distribution processes.
  • Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential customers in the general trade sector.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and distributors.
  • Team Management:

  • Lead and motivate a team of sales executives and distributors to meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Provide coaching, support, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of team performance and motivation.
  • Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct regular market research to understand customer needs, competitor activity, and industry trends.
  • Report market insights and recommend adjustments to strategies based on competitive analysis.
  • Sales Reporting & Analytics:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, distributor performance, and market conditions.
  • Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs), sales trends, and territory performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and MBA .
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in sales management within the

    General Trade

    &

    FMCG

    industry.
  • Proven track record in

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
