Job Summary

The Sales Head is responsible for leading the retail sales operations across multiple outlets, driving revenue growth, ensuring excellent store performance, and implementing effective sales & marketing strategies. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and proven experience in managing multi-location retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Drive category-wise and store-wise sales performance to maximize profitability.
  • Identify growth opportunities and implement plans to increase footfall, conversion rate, and average bill value.

2. Multi-Outlet Management

  • Oversee day-to-day sales operations across multiple retail outlets.
  • Ensure store teams meet sales KPIs and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct regular store visits to monitor performance, customer service quality, visual merchandising, and adherence to company policies.

3. Marketing & Promotional Activities

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and implement promotional campaigns and seasonal offers.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness and ensure proper execution at store level.
  • Support digital and social media marketing initiatives for brand visibility and customer engagement.

4. Sales Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare and review weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
  • Analyze sales data, trends, product performance, and customer behaviour.
  • Provide actionable insights to management for strategic decision-making.

5. Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, guide, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
  • Conduct training sessions on sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Monitor staff productivity and enforce performance improvement plans when required.

6. Customer Experience Management

  • Ensure high standards of customer service across all outlets.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.

7. Inventory & Stock Coordination

  • Coordinate with the inventory & purchase team to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor slow-moving and fast-moving SKUs and recommend corrective actions.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in retail sales, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong experience managing multiple retail outlets.
  • Proven track record in sales growth and revenue generation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and drive team performance.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting tools.
